Letter from Grandma Weiss – 4/7/78

Dear Cheryl,  Enclosed is a map of St. Louis.  I was born on Beck St.  I don’t know the house number, but my cousin Ora Wolters will be the place for you to get more information.  I was baptized in St. John’s Lutheran Church at Morgan Ford Rd. and Chippewa St.  I think my parents Henry Wolters and Dorothy Grimm were also married there.  My father was baptized in Old Trinity Church at 8th and Soulard.  His father had a farm on what is now King’s Highway.   My mother lived very close to St. Johns Church.  Her father had a blacksmith shop on Morgan Ford Rd.  He died when she was 14 years old and my Uncle Henry Grimm inherited the shop.  We wen thhere quite often when I was little.
